Lately I have been having some issues with my volatile hair. No matter what I do, it always seems to be thick and crunchy. I knew I had to buy some sort of special shampoo but didn't feel like forking over a day's worth of pay for it. I looked on the Sephora website and was overwhelmed with all the product and prices, but then I did a little research and discovered that The Body Shop is a great place for reasonably priced beauty and hair products. Who knew?! I always assumed The Body Shop was just for perfumes and body butters, but little did I know they have a whole array of products like makeup, facial cleansers and hair care products. So yesterday I went on a bit of spree there at the Upper Canada Mall, but for this blog post I will review only 2 of the products that I did buy: The Rainforest Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner!
As stated earlier, I have been having issues with my dry hair so when I came across this product I was excited to try it as it says right on the bottle that it is free of any silicones (which can make your hair feel like it has a filmy residue after you wash it out). I was excited to see something that was specifically made for dry and damaged hair. (My hair has been all colours of the rainbow and straightened daily on the highest heat setting possible). I was extra happy to also see the price of this product! $14.00 for a 400mL bottle! And it was a buy one get one half off, so of course I just had to get the conditioner as well!
I was so excited to use these products that I couldn't wait to wash my hair! I used them both this morning and fell in love. Not only did my hair feel really clean afterwards, but it felt more soft. The other shampoos and conditioners I had been using always felt so filmy and I never felt like all the product in my hair was being washed out. Both the shampoo and conditioner are light and good to use if you are the type of person who washes their hair everyday. (Guilty!!)
I never used to be a Body Shop shopper, but after yesterday's purchases, I got myself a Body Shop card with the intention of shopping there more often. I also bought a plethora of other cool products, but I will review those at a later date.
You can purchase these products online here or check them out in store.

I love their tea tree oil line for face, especially the mask. Their hemp hand restorer and seaweed pore cleanser are nice. I love the Brazil nut curl definer/ anti frizz creme They have lovely makeup brushes and I have never been unhappy with any purchase other than the shampoo and conditioner, but I was just very put off by the smell mostly.
ReplyDeleteOhh I bought that defrizz cream too, but have yet to use it. Good to know that it works well :)
DeleteI also bought the tea tree oil cleanser and toner which I really like.
